Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Lead Substation Physical Engineer to join the Electric Grid Infrastructure Services team in the United States. This role involves leading physical design in distribution and transmission substations, participating in project conceptualization and planning, and delivering clear reports and drawings to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited electrical engineering program.
• 10+ years in physical layout and design of Transmission and Distribution Substations.
• Knowledge of design techniques for production of plans and 3D models.
• Ability to relate equipment to technical design and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation physical engineering tasks in distribution and transmission projects.
• Plan, conceptualize, and execute project work in a team environment.
• Prepare reports and deliverables per client requirements and S&L formats.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
