Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer-Physical Design to join our Power Delivery team in Overland Park, KS (or other listed locations). You will design substations, perform protective and grounding analyses, and set relay settings to ensure safe, reliable grids.

The role requires 6+ years in substation engineering, proficiency with MicroStation/AutoCAD, and willingness to travel. PE-licensed candidates preferred; experience with NESC/IEEE standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 6 years of Substation engineering experience with focus on physical design.
• Familiarity with substation physical design parameters and data.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Substation design and drafting of GA, elevations, conduit, grounding, foundations, and control building layouts.
• Perform substation design calculations and analyses (ground grid, lightning protection, voltage drop).
• Develop technical equipment specifications and work scopes.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure compliant electrical design.
