Job summary

Cleco is seeking a Supervisor - Substation Maintenance in Louisiana to lead a team of technicians. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-voltage substation equipment, drive safety and reliability, and coordinate with Engineering and Operations for new installations.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of people management, with strong knowledge of electrical theory and the ability to read diagrams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree preferred in electrical technology.
• 5+ years related experience and 2+ years of people management.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage substation equipment and electrical theory.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (SAP/Maximo) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians and ensure safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on transformers, breakers, switches, regulators and relays.
• Coordinate installations with Engineering, Operations teams and contractors.
• Direct responses to outages and equipment failures, including after-hours and storms.
• Manage budgets and contribute to O&M and capital planning.
