Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in electrical technology or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years people management experience.

• Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees to address difficult issues.
• Strong reading of one-line diagrams and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead technicians responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage substation equipment.
• Ensure work safety, efficiency, and compliance with utility standards and policies.
• Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance using SAP/Maximo.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and energization of new/upgraded equipment with engineering teams and contractors.
• Direct responses to outages and equipment failures, including after-hours and storm events.
• Assist staff on project milestones and provide timely manager updates.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets to meet financial goals.
• Foster safety improvements and human performance (TOPI) in daily work.
