Job summary
Utility Services in Texas is seeking experienced 5-man substation construction crews for long-term power delivery projects. Crews will perform all phases of greenfield substation construction, including ground grid installation, steel erection, and setting switches.
Foreman must lead crews and read prints; journeyman linemen require substation experience and a CDL; apprentices learn on the job. We offer competitive pay, overtime, and long-term work on major utility infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Foreman must lead substation crews, read prints and coordinate daily activities.
- Journeyman Substation Linemen: experience with substation construction, grounding, conduit, wiring, steel erection; CDL required.
- Apprentices: utility construction experience preferred, willingness to learn, teamwork and safety focus.
Responsibilities
- Ground grid installation.
- Structural steel erection.
- Setting switches and major substation equipment.
- Installing conduit systems.
- Pulling and terminating control and power cable.
- Bus work installation.
- Equipment assembly and installation.
- Reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Working safely around energized utility facilities.
