Job summary

Pike Engineering seeks a senior electrical/substation engineer to provide physical engineering, technical support, and supervision for substation projects, including battery storage and solar facilities. The role combines billable project work with project management, client interaction, and business development efforts.

The candidate will lead engineers, develop scopes and schedules, and ensure quality design packages while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with customers.

Qualifications

• PE license or ability to obtain within a year.
• Advanced understanding of substation design and related equipment.
• Experience leading engineers and designers on projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance to identify and resolve problems.
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities.
• Prepare thorough technical reports, correspondence, and sketches.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers beyond the discipline.
• Interact with customers' engineers daily and maintain professional relationships.
• Monitor deliverables and present solutions to clients.
• Support proposal development, cost estimating, and business development.
