Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Control Electrician A to perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation electrical equipment. The role requires 6–8 years of experience with 525 kV and below equipment and PLC logic understanding. Expect travel, potential long hours during emergencies, and leadership of crew members.

The position involves working in confined spaces and elevated areas, with a strong emphasis on safety and codes compliance. CDL is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform rigorous physical labor and climb to heights up to 60 feet.
• Must supply own hand tools and safety-toed boots; CDL required or eligible.
• Extensive knowledge of construction practices, electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot substation electrical equipment and systems (circuits, transformers, breakers).
• Lead and coach crew members; communicate with customers and subordinates.
• Maintain company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work near energized equipment with focus on safety and outage prevention.
