Job summary

PASSAIC COUNTY is hiring a Supervising Substance Abuse Counselor for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Center (BHWC) in Paterson, NJ. The role entails planning, developing, and supervising counseling services for patients with drug and co-occurring disorders. Requires an LCADC license with NJ Board approval, and preferably a Certified Clinical Supervisor.

A master’s degree is preferred and supervisory experience is required. Driver’s license may be required for some duties.

Qualifications

• Licensed LCADC issued by NJ Division of Consumer Affairs.
• Three years of counseling or social work experience with supervisory duties.
• Supervision of staff and documentation of supervision hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and supervise counseling components for BHWC.
• Supervise subordinate counseling staff and conduct staff conferences.
• Coordinate with community resources and prepare performance ratings.
• Provide input on program evaluation and staff development.
