Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior Subcontracts Manager to lead a on-site team, develop subcontracting strategies, and ensure contracts align with project goals.

You will review bid details, drafting terms and conditions, manage risk, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Risk teams on a major West Texas project. This full-time on-site role requires strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) with 13–19 years of relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of subcontract terms and EPC contracting practices.
• Full-time on-site availability.

Responsibilities

• Participates with the project team on defining and developing the scope of Contracts work, and in preparing Contract plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
• Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for project contract documents.
• Coordinates Contract execution plan with Engineering and Construction plans to ensure aligned input.
• Reviews commitments and execution authorities to ensure compliance with policies.
• Manages the Subcontract for a contract of medium risk or complexity.
