Job summary

Bechtel in the United States is seeking an experienced Subcontracts professional to lead formation, administration, and negotiation of EPC subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and high ethical standards.

You will develop contracts, manage bid processes, change orders, and coordinate with Construction, Engineering and Support Services to resolve issues and minimize risk across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of service acquisition and procurement regulations, policies and practices.
• Experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of engineering/construction contracting practices.
• Experience in developing contract types (LSTK, T&M and UR) and contract terms.
• Experience in developing and recommending solutions to contractual problems.
• Broad knowledge and experience in subcontract administration.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; proactive risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop multiple contracts and/or services agreements simultaneously.
• Prepare and issue RFP packages; coordinate clarifications and evaluate bids; prepare bid summaries.
• Implement procedures and standard work processes for subcontract administration.
• Administer assigned subcontracts; monitor progress and report potential difficulties.
• Prepare and organize contract-related meetings for clear stakeholder alignment.
• Assist project Contracts team with planning, budgeting, and contractual issues.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering and Support Services on contractual matters.
• Represent Bechtel in contracts discussions of moderate complexity.
• Maintain information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms.
