Job summary

C2 Technology Group in Montgomery, AL seeks an experienced low-voltage/telecommunications installer to install UTP, fiber optic, and copper cabling, test links, and document QA reports. The role leads a crew in the field and coordinates with project managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of verifiable telecom experience, LAN and AV cabling skills, proficiency with test equipment, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in low-voltage / telecommunications.
• Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video cabling
• Proficiency with industry-recognized certification tools, test equipment, and processes
• BICSI credentials are a plus
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; perform basic math; and distinguish industry color codes
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures
• Verifiable experience and character references required

Responsibilities

• Install UTP, fiber optic, and multi-conductor copper cabling infrastructure
• Test and certify permanent links using industry-standard equipment
• Complete installation documentation and quality assurance reports
• Conduct site surveys, plan tasks, and coordinate with project managers and engineers
• Lead and manage a crew of installers in the field
