Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering in Foxborough, MA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (SPE) to lead structural design from concept through construction. You will collaborate with Project Managers, guide teams, and ensure deliverables meet design intent, standards, and regulations.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, PE license preferred, and proficiency in major structural software. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with architects and clients, and help drive project success.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• 7 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• PE license preferred or in progress.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
• Prepare structural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to align structural solutions with project goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and BIM technicians on technical tasks and best practices.
• Participate in client calls and meetings, providing technical input and contributing to project discussions.
• Support Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, and project planning.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all deliverables.
