Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer in the Los Angeles area to lead independent and team-based structural projects. You will evaluate and specify engineered systems, supervise junior engineers, and coordinate with architects and other disciplines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with Autodesk Revit and common structural software. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Competenze

• Minimum 6+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering license is required, Structural Engineering license is preferred.

Mansioni

• Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects.
• Development of job specific specifications independently for less complex projects.
• Lead junior engineers in complex projects.
• Work with architectural interiors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Independently perform Construction Administration duties including field observations, RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders.
• Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients.
• Understand industry standard design processes and construction means and methods.
• Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget, and at a high level of client service.
• Assist with development of design standards.
