The candidate will oversee design and analysis for bridges and municipal infrastructure, mentor staff, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure top-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required.
• SE certification in Illinois required.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering design experience.
• Willingness to engage in business development and client outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural engineering department, providing technical direction and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Oversee structural design and analysis, focusing on bridges and municipal transportation infrastructure.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and designers while managing workloads, schedules, and budgets.
• Support structural projects from concept through construction in coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Serve as senior point of contact for clients, supporting relationship management and business development.
• Participate in proposal development, client meetings, and industry events.
