Job summary

Manay CPA seeks an experienced Structural PE to lead steel connection design on a major project in New York. You will be the PE of record for steel design, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and coordination among EOR, client, contractor, fabricator, and detailers.

The ideal candidate brings NY-registered PE or reciprocity, 15+ years in structural engineering with 10+ years in steel design, and hands-on experience with Tekla, SAP2000, ETABS or STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE in NY preferred or able to obtain reciprocity.
• Minimum 15 years structural engineering experience.
• Minimum 10 years in structural steel design.
• Experience on large industrial projects (semiconductor, data center, manufacturing).
• Knowledge of AISC 360/341, AWS D1.1, ASCE 7, OSHA temp stability, LRFD/ASD.
• Experience with fast-track EPC projects and international fabrication teams.
• BIM workflow familiarity and access to valid US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Structural PE for all structural steel engineering activities.
• Review and approve steel connection designs, calculations, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with EOR, client, general contractor, fabricator, and detailers.
• Review Tekla models and shop drawings for compliance.
• Resolve RFIs and technical questions related to steel.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and project specs.
• Support fabrication and construction teams with practical solutions.
• Review temporary condition calculations as required.
• Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders.
