Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of new and upgraded facilities in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will guide a team of engineers and designers to develop structural concepts, make design decisions, and ensure construction drawings, specifications, and reports meet project goals.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration across disciplines, and a solid grasp of current codes. PE license is preferred or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC codes.
• Proficient in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and analysis tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• PE license preferred or obtainable within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams as lead engineer for small to large projects.
• Oversee design of structural systems and ensure drawings meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural and civil disciplines.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and observe construction progress.
• Assist in proposals and marketing materials for past projects.
• Establish project scope and budgets.
