Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design for new and upgrade projects. You will supervise a team of engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality drawings, reports, and studies while managing scope and milestones.

The role requires strong leadership, client liaison, and proficiency with structural codes, and involves site visits and collaboration across disciplines to deliver complex industrial projects.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (SE preferred).
Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry; familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC codes.
Proficiency with Revit, BIM and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

Lead engineer for projects, overseeing quality, budget and schedule.
Assist in proposals and marketing materials for past projects.
Establish project scope, budgets and design approach.
Meet with clients for preliminary planning and design concepts.
Ensure designs conform to AFRY quality standards and codes.
Mentor staff and supervise drawings production.
Visit project sites to build client relationships and observe construction.
