Job summary

LVI Associates in Orlando is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural team on complex projects, from proposal through design, construction administration and closeout. You will drive technical excellence, mentor staff and foster strong client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

You will manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with architects and contractors, and contribute to business development while maintaining high QA/QC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of building structural systems and design.
• Experience coordinating with clients, architects and contractors.
• Proven project management, budgeting and scheduling skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from planning and proposal through completion.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects and stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure collaboration.
• Provide guidance, oversight and QA/QC across all project phases.
• Serve as lead structural engineer on complex projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Oversee QA/QC processes and site visits.
• Monitor project financial performance and forecast revenue.
• Assist with business development and client presentations.
• Participate in recruitment and staff development.
