CRB, a leading provider of sustainable engineering and consulting to life sciences and food & beverage industries, is seeking a Structural Engineer IV in San Diego, CA. You will lead small-to-mid projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and clients.

This role emphasizes design leadership, field data collection, and coordination with architects, vendors, and construction teams, with opportunities to contribute to master planning and proposals.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in a structural discipline.
Minimum 10 years’ experience for Lead level, in design firms.
Proficiency with structural software and building code familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage design scope and budget on small to mid-sized projects.
Develop construction drawings and specs with minimal oversight.
Perform site surveys, field reports, and record non-compliant conditions.
Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors.
Support proposals and internal training sessions.
Lead discipline reviews to ensure design quality.
Mentor Engineer I and Designer I/II staff.
Support system design programming and master planning with seniors.
