Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Lead Structural Engineer to join a prestigious firm in George. You will lead structural design, analysis, and detailing for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with SANS and international standards.
In this role you will mentor junior engineers, manage design deliverables, and collaborate with architects and other disciplines. The position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to work on high-profile infrastructure and building projects.
Qualifications
- Registration as Pr. Eng. or Pr. Eng. Tech. with ECSA.
- 10+ years of structural engineering design and project leadership.
- Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit Structure.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading design teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design, analysis, and detailing for projects.
- Perform complex calculations and simulations using engineering software.
- Review and approve structural drawings, specs, and calculations.
- Ensure designs comply with SANS and international best practices.
- Mentor junior structural engineers and guide project management.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
