Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Structural Engineer for a hybrid role based in Welkom. You will design, analyze, and oversee structural components for diverse construction projects, ensuring safety and code compliance.

Collaborate with architects and project teams to deliver robust solutions, perform site visits, review shop drawings, and ensure alignment with local and international standards. 5+ years of experience and PE registration preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural/Civil Eng with structural focus.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 5 years of structural design experience.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, Etabs, and Revit Structure.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and steel design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for building components.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects and consultants to integrate designs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and check specs.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor queries.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international codes.
