Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Clay, NY seeks a senior Structural Engineer to plan, coordinate, and perform design and estimates for precast concrete and other structural works within the Manufacturing and Technology unit. You will work under supervision of an Engineering Group Supervisor to deliver optimized, safe, and compliant structures.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience; PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• A professional engineering license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the structural engineering work for a global unit, a project or staff group to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications for buildings, structures and components.
• Designs structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
• Coordinates design between the Home office engineers and subcontractors performing design of precast concrete elements
• Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
