Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) seeks an Engineer at Level A, B, or C to perform civil engineering design, field inspection, and coordination for school construction projects in NYC. The role involves SWPPP design, stormwater management, and working with various stakeholders to advance rehabilitation, additions, and new buildings.

The candidate will assist in scoping/design, prepare documentation for permits, and may lead smaller projects while ensuring compliance with codes and SCA

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree required.
Professional Engineer - NYS license required.

Responsibilities

Perform civil engineering design and field inspection across a variety of assignments and technical roles.
Prepare geotechnical testing guidelines and conduct percolation tests.
Design stormwater management systems and prepare SWPPP submissions for permitting.
Inspect premises and review plans for SWPPP compliance.
Collaborate with staff, consultants, and government agencies.
Sign, seal, and file engineering drawings as required.
