Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority is seeking an Engineer at Levels A, B, or C to perform civil engineering design and field inspection across a variety of school projects. The role focuses on permitting processes, SWPPP compliance, and building envelope considerations for existing and new facilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, staff, and contractors, reviewing submittals, and preparing design documents.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Professional Engineer license required (Level A) or equivalent.
• Three years post-licensure experience for Engineer B; two years as project engineer or squad leader.
• Six years post-licensure experience for Engineer C; three years as project engineer or squad leader.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design and field inspection across assignments.
• Coordinate with staff, consultants, and contractors; prepare SWPPP submissions and permits.
• Sign, seal, and file engineering drawings as required.
