Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) seeks Engineers at Levels A, B, or C to lead civil design and field inspection for NYC public school projects. The role involves SWPPP design, DEP permit submissions, and coordination with staff, consultants, and contractors to ensure code compliance and quality.

Levels A–C offer increasing responsibility, from design and scope development to project leadership across modernization and new construction. A valid NYS PE license is required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in engineering.
• New York State Professional Engineer license.
• Experience with stormwater management and SWPPP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design and field inspection across a variety of assignments.
• Prepare SWPPP documentation and DEP permit applications.
• Review plans and specifications for SWPPP compliance and building rehabilitation/new construction work.
• Sign, seal, and file engineering drawings as required.
