Job summary

HNTB seeks an accomplished structural engineer to lead analysis and design for major sports, aviation, and transit projects within its national architectural practice. You will engineer framing and foundations for steel, concrete, and masonry systems and coordinate with architects and BIM specialists.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license with SE1, experience in wind/seismic loads, and a strong knowledge of IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering; 8 years of relevant experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); SE1 exam passed.
Strong knowledge of Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
Proficiency with structural analysis software and drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

Lead structural engineering analysis and design of building structures including sport, airport, transit facilities and more.
Collaborate with structural engineering peers and teammates to enhance creativity and success.
Develop creative structural design solutions from concept through final design.
Provide structural engineering services during bidding and construction phases, including submittal review and site observation.
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
