Job summary

HNTB is seeking a licensed structural engineer to lead building projects within its national architectural practice in the Washington region. You will perform analysis, develop design calculations, and create drawings for diverse structures such as sports, airports, and transit facilities.

The role requires a PE with SE1, strong knowledge of steel, concrete and masonry, and proficiency with Revit/BIM 360 plus ETABS/SAP 2000 or RISA.

Qualifications

Licensed PE with SE1 exam; professional licensure required or in process.
Strong knowledge of steel, concrete and masonry design.
Experience with wind and seismic analysis and code compliance.
Ability to develop calculations and drawings for construction.
Proficient with Revit/BIM 360 and analysis software (ETABS/SAP 2000/RISA).

Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis and design of building structures for various facilities.
Prepare framing/foundation designs for multiple materials and systems.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and BIM technicians.
Provide QA/QC and review submittals during bidding and construction.
Mentor junior staff and support project management activities.
