Job summary

TYLin seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Buildings team in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on structural design and analysis across diverse building types, with opportunities to mentor staff and manage projects.

Ideal candidates have 6–10 years of relevant experience, a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering background, and proficiency with structural software. A PE/SE license is a plus, and a Master’s degree is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required.
• Master's Degree would be an asset.
• P.E. or S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 6-10 years of experience in residential, commercial, or institutional building projects as a Structural Engineer is required; residential experience preferred.
• Proficiency with analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM) and REVIT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and older systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Project management of staff and clients.
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
• Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to stay current with industry developments.
