Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Structural Engineer III to lead design, analysis, and certification of advanced aerospace structures. You will oversee test plans, perform structural analyses, and mentor junior engineers within cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong background in structural engineering, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and ability to deliver compliant, high-performance structures for defense and aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering or related role.
• Advanced understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of advanced metallic and composite structures.
• Oversee development and execution of structural test plans.
• Perform detailed structural analysis and identify improvements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on structural practices.
