Job summary

The Consulting Engineers Group seeks an experienced Structural Engineer with 4+ years of structural engineering experience to join its Albuquerque, NM team. The position can report to the Albuquerque office, be REMOTE or HYBRID, and requires residence in the United States.

The role leads a small team of engineers and drafters, oversees plans and calculations, and interacts with Architects, Contractors, and clients. PE license is preferred, and a Civil Engineer degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis.
• PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must be highly detail oriented with excellent organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers, BIM modelers, and drafters.
• Continually monitor project budgets and manpower with regular reporting of project status to management.
• Develop job proposals and monitor project budgets.
• Build relationships with existing clients and help establish new clients.
• Direct communication with Architects and Contractors.
• Oversee development of plans and calculations to maintain quality control.
• Perform calculations in software such as Mathcad, Excel, RISA 3D, and other design programs.
