Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to lead the structural design and analysis of precast concrete structures, from bridges to architectural cladding, with strong collaboration across sales, engineering and production. This remote role emphasizes project ownership and design excellence.

Travel to Salt Lake City, UT and Caldwell, ID is required. Ideal candidates hold a PE license or eligibility and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; master's preferred.
• PE licensure or eligibility to become registered in multiple states.
• Experience with precast concrete design and steel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structural Design: manage design, submission, and project management of structural designs and shop drawings.
• Structural Analysis: analyze precast structures, components, and connections per codes.
• Problem Solving: anticipate and resolve issues, communicate with customers.
• Project Management: coordinate PMs, drafters, estimators, engineers, and production staff.
• Customer Engagement: collaborate with sales for design, specs, installation, and issue resolution.
• Sales & Estimating Support: assist engineering efforts for sales and estimating.
• Safety & Compliance: support health, safety, quality, and environmental programs.
