Job summary

LeoForce in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a mid‑level structural engineer to lead transportation and public infrastructure projects. You will guide the structural design for bridges, drainage, and roadway systems, ensuring code compliance and practical solutions.

You’ll mentor junior staff, manage multiple assignments to meet schedules and budgets, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective structures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural design experience for transportation or municipal projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis; master's a plus.
• P.E. license in Illinois required; SE preferred.
• Experience with bridges, retaining walls, junction chambers, and related design.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client and contractor coordination.
• Ability to perform field investigations, site visits, and construction-phase support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering effort for transportation and public infrastructure projects for government and municipal clients.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Prepare and review analyses, documentation, and construction plans for transport structures.
• Support the design of highway, roadway, drainage, and structural systems per standards.
• Manage multiple assignments, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for practical, cost-effective solutions.
