Job summary

HR Green, Inc. is seeking a talented Lead Structural Engineer to join our Transportation practice across Illinois offices, including Aurora.

The role leads delivery of robust bridge and transportation structure projects, mentoring junior staff and potentially serving as Project Manager for select assignments. Expect design decisions with limited PM input and opportunities in marketing and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
• Experience designing bridges and transportation structures in Illinois with progressive responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Use computer software for analysis and design of bridges and structures.
• Lead and mentor junior structural engineers and CAD staff.
• Contribute to design calculations, reports, and construction phase provisions.
• Manage projects to meet budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Develop design procedures to ensure high-quality work.
