Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for remote work with Illinois DOT bridge projects. You will lead complex bridge design efforts, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients to deliver high-profile transportation structures across Illinois and nearby markets.

Required are a PE license, 8–15+ years of experience in steel, concrete, and prestressed bridge design, and strong project leadership. A SE license is a plus; MicroStation/Bentley skills are essential for project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred.
• 8–15+ years of bridge engineering and transportation structure design experience.
• Strong experience with IDOT bridge projects and Illinois transportation standards.
• Proficiency designing steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and related bridge structures.
• Experience with bridge inspections, rehabilitation projects, culverts, retaining walls, and transportation infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, Bentley platforms, or similar bridge design software.
• Proven project management, technical leadership, and client coordination capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of bridge engineering projects for IDOT and similar agencies.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois transportation standards and adopted design codes.
