Job summary

The Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego is seeking a Stewarding Manager to lead the stewarding department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in kitchens and related areas. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and Banquet leadership, oversee staffing and budgeting, and drive training programs to uphold hotel standards.

A 2–4 year stewarding leadership background, a 21+ age requirement and San Diego County Food Handler certification are essential; RBS certification

Qualifications

• At least 2–4 years of progressive stewarding leadership experience in high-volume environments.
• Experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day operations.
• Must be over 21 years of age; San Diego County Food Handler certification required.
• RBS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to guests and associates.
• Ensures kitchens and related areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Coordinates with Executive Chef, F&B Director, Banquet leadership and other department heads to support daily operations and events.
• Recruits, trains, coaches and mentors Stewarding staff to maintain a high-performing, service-oriented culture.
