Job summary

The Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, CT is seeking a dependable Lead Steward/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This hands-on role keeps the kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for daily service and events.

Pay ranges from $21.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience, with a typical schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. As the main point person for the stewarding area, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to

Qualifications

Previous dishwashing, stewarding, kitchen utility, or similar food service experience preferred.
Dependable and organized with ownership of responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
Keep stewarding areas clean, organized, and efficient.
Receive deliveries and assist with unloading and storing supplies.
Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and receiving areas.
Monitor cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
Assist with trash, recycling, and waste removal.
Support banquet and event setup/breakdown and keep equipment clean.
