Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Lead Certified Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instrument sterility and readiness for patient care. You will lead a team, share knowledge on new equipment, and uphold high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Your role includes coordinating with the surgical team, maintaining detailed sterilization records, and mentoring staff to deliver exceptional patient care daily.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications CSPDT or CRCST required.
• Experience leading sterile processing teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment; document cycles and safety checks.
• Prepare surgical sets and case carts according to daily schedules.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with the surgical team to keep surgeries on time.
• Lead and train the Sterile Processing team, modeling safe best practices.
