Job Summary: The Lead, Sterile Processing Technician maintains high standards in processing instruments, patient care equipment, and supplies, ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards efficiently. The role involves resource utilization, support of departmental operations, and processing patient charges, adhering to standards set by AAMI, JCAHO, CDC, and state regulations.
Essential Functions:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensing & Certifications: Must hold CRCST, HSPA, CSPDT, or CBSPD certification; CIS and CER are preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years required; 5 years preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to follow instructions, work independently and under pressure, possess surgical conscience, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively in a team, among others.
Training: EPIC experience preferred.
