Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II/III at the Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO. The role handles cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments across multiple specialties and requires HSPA certification.

In this position you will train students, manage case carts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while coordinating with vendors and department leadership. 40 hours weekly with benefits.

Qualifications

• Central Processing Certification from HSPA required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• CER or CIS certification through HSPA (Level 3) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect surgical instruments per education proficiencies.
• Identify, assemble, wrap, label, and sterilize instruments for procedures.
• Read and record sterilization tests and parameters.
• Print needs lists and issue sterile supplies to hospital areas.
• Perform inventory duties and communicate with providers and vendors.
• Teach and precept students and new SPD staff.
