Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to oversee SPD operations, mentor staff, and ensure instrument sterilization aligns with AAMI and AORN standards. The role requires coordinating daily functions, maintaining high-quality service, and supporting OR scheduling.

As shift lead, you will supervise staff, monitor productivity, and participate in process improvements while maintaining infection control and equipment competency across SPD activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hospital Sterile Processing experience required.
• Sterile Processing certification required.
• Course verification in Sterile Processing.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and delegate staff work assignments, oversee schedules, and manage department priorities.
• Monitor staff productivity and provide constructive feedback and training.
• Operate and maintain Sterile processing equipment per policy and manufacturer manuals.
• Collaborate with Perioperative leadership to support the surgical schedule and workflow.
• Maintain instrument tracking and inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient case cart preparation.
