Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Technician at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando to oversee daily SPD activities, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with sterilization standards.

The Lead will run a shift independently, coordinate with the SPD Supervisor, participate in orientation, audits, and performance improvement, and maintain high service quality for patient care. The ideal candidate holds CSPDT/CRCST certification, has two years in hospital SPD, and at least 6 months

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification through HSPA, CRCST, or CBSPD (CSPDT) required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles instrument trays and oversees reprocessing of reusable medical supplies.
• Ensures staff follow proper procedures and supports scheduling of training and orientation.
• Participates in quality audits, facility quality assurance programs, and regulatory compliance.
