Job summary

CHOC Children's seeks a Sterile Processing Technician Lead to oversee decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of trays and equipment within the sterile processing unit. You will monitor logs, track instruments, and manage supply inventory with strong customer service.

This role includes supervising staff and contributing to performance evaluations. You will lead a team, ensure compliance with sterilization standards, and collaborate with other departments to support patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• CSP/CSPDT or equivalent certification within 6-12 months of employment.
• Experience in sterile processing and training/orientation of new staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare/assemble, sterilize, and distribute trays and sets.
• Maintain sterilization logs, instrument tracking, and supply inventory.
• Manage shifts and supervise staff on assigned shift; participate in staff evaluations.
