Job summary

CHOC Children's is seeking a Manager for the Sterile Processing Department at the Main Campus in Orange, CA. The role oversees decontamination and sterile processing, ensuring regulatory compliance and cost-effective operations within collaboration with Surgical Services and patient care areas.

The position requires CSPDT, BLS, CRCST licensure, and strong English communication. Experience leading sterile processing teams and knowledge of Title 22 regulations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT); Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) licensure.
• Preferred: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee decontamination and sterile processing operations.
• Collaborate with Surgical Services and patient care areas.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and cost-effectiveness of the department.
• Establish policies and procedures related to decontamination and sterilization.
• Serve as a positive role model to improve department performance and team atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with peers, leads, staff, department managers and guests to create an efficient workflow.
