The Sterile Processing Technician II at CHOC performs decontamination, preparation/assembly, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets, while maintaining logs and the instrument tracking system and overseeing supply inventory in the sterile processing department.

Under supervision, they perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and contribute to excellent customer service when distributing supplies.

Formación

• Requires HS diploma or GED and CRCST/CBSPD certification.
• Requires IAHCSMM/CBSPD certification.
• Experience in sterile processing preferred, especially in a hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Handle decontamination, preparation/assembly, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets.
• Maintain sterilization logs and instrument-tracking system.
• Support supply inventory in the sterile processing department.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of department equipment.
