Job summary

CHOC in Orange, California is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Lead for an evening shift (4, 10-hour days, 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM). The role requires a minimum of 5 years of Sterile Processing experience with at least 1 year in training staff and orienting new employees.

A sign-on bonus is offered. The candidate will perform and monitor decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets, while maintaining logs and inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Sterile Processing with at least 1 year of training/orientation experience.
• Leadership experience and ability to supervise staff on shift.
• Proficient verbal and written English; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation/assembly, sterilization, and distribution of trays and sets.
• Maintain sterilization logs and instrument tracking system; manage supply inventory.
• Supervise shift and participate in staff performance evaluations.
• Ensure high-level customer service and teamwork within the department.
• Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of department equipment.
