Job summary
Jobot is seeking a Threading Production Supervisor – OCTG in South Texas to lead a high-volume OCTG threading operation. This hands-on shop-floor leadership role requires deep OCTG threading experience and the ability to guide teams, solve production issues and drive safety, quality and throughput.
You will supervise 25-50 operators across two lines, ensure API/premium thread inspection standards are met, and collaborate with Quality and Maintenance to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of OCTG threading leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of semi-premium connections; GBCD strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily OCTG threading operations across two lines and four CNC threaders.
- Lead, coach and hold accountable a 25-50 person production team in a high-volume, 24/6 operation.
- Oversee GBCD and/or semi-premium threading operations and ensure quality requirements are met.
- Monitor threading quality using gauges, optical comparators and API/premium thread inspection equipment.
- Drive production throughput, cycle-time improvement and downtime reduction.
- Work closely with Quality and Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct safety meetings, address hazards and maintain a strong safety culture.
