Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Estimator in Southeast Wisconsin to turn drawings into takeoffs, BOMs, and quotes. You will own estimating end to end, from drawing review through final quote, and work with customers to resolve discrepancies.

You'll collaborate with purchasing on material availability and pricing, and build quotes in JobBOSS ERP to provide production-ready job costing for a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in steel fabrication including takeoffs, quotes, and BOM development.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and architectural drawings.
• Experience with structural steel components (angle, plate, beams).
• Background in a job shop or custom fabrication environment; comfortable near production floor.
• Clear communication with coworkers and customers alike.

Responsibilities

• Turn fabrication and architectural drawings into accurate material takeoffs, BOMs, and customer quotes.
• Own estimating end to end, from drawing review through final quote.
• Flag drawing discrepancies and work directly with customers to clear them up.
• Partner with purchasing on material availability and pricing.
• Build and manage quotes inside the company's JobBOSS ERP system.
• Give production clean, accurate job costing they can build to.
