Job summary

Span Construction & Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Construction Foreman (Steel Erection) to supervise Employee-Owners on the jobsite, directing crews in erection of pre-engineered steel buildings with safety as the priority.

The Foreman will support the Superintendent, lead daily operations, enforce site rules, coordinate resources, and mentor crew members to meet schedule and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction crews in steel erection is preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities are essential.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance on site.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes safety, promotes a safety-focused culture on site.
• Directs crews to complete work safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of Employee-Owners.
• Participates in pre-construction hand-off and logistics planning.
• Deciphers drawings and directs layout and placement of components.
• Coordinates day-to-day activities to meet project milestones.
