Job summary

F.A. Wilhelm Construction seeks a Project Manager in its Steel Division to lead and coordinate steel erection projects from start-up through closeout.

You will manage day-to-day activities with the Project Superintendent, interface with clients, and ensure safety, schedule, and profitability on industrial projects. Ideal candidates bring 4–5+ years in steel construction PM, a bachelor’s in a related field, and experience handling budgets, change orders, and RFIs.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of project management experience in steel erection/fabrication.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field.
• Experience managing project budgets, pricing change orders, revisions, and project financials.
• OSHA 30-hour Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management and construction activities of steel erection projects with the Project Superintendent.
• Ensure project on time, under budget, and with quality that exceeds expectations.
• Coordinate with Clients, Project Managers, and Steel Detailers; process submittals and shop drawings.
• Price changes in the work and submit them to the customer; perform constructability analysis.
