Job summary

SteelFab, Inc. is seeking an On-Site Project Manager to oversee large steel fabrication projects nationwide. The role involves directing field teams, coordinating with erection foremen, scheduling deliveries, and maintaining safety on site.

You will work with the in-house PM, manage look-ahead schedules, document issues, and ensure timely completion while upholding SteelFab's values of excellence, teamwork and integrity. Travel to job sites across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year associate’s degree.
• High level competency in Bluebeam, PDFs, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, and common computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related fields is preferred.
• Some construction or engineering industry experience is preferred.
• Continuing education in project management and leadership is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with erection foreman to coordinate materials, laydown/logistics, and supply needs.
• Set up and re-schedule deliveries with steel shops, joists & decks, bolts; emails to vendors and office PM cc.
• Attend weekly/daily meetings with the erector.
• Review deliveries and coordinate directly with SteelFab and fabrication shops to resolve missing pieces.
• Work with erector to resolve field issues; document details and distribute to field/office teams.
• Look ahead at concrete progress, anchor bolts, crane access roads, and site readiness.
• Coordinate site prep with erector and contractor; coordinate with other trades.
• Ensure inspection items and remedies are addressed in a timely manner.
• Maintain rolling punch list and communicate field changes to in-office PM.
• Work at least 5 days a week with erector; follow all safety requirements; overtime as needed.
• Review manpower requirements and maintain schedule progress with the in-office PM.
• Monitor safety measures and ensure OSHA and SteelFab requirements are met.
• Communicate clearly on behalf of SteelFab to contractors and other parties.
• Participate in pre-planning, sequencing, scheduling, and pre-erection meetings.
• Maintain minimum OSHA 30 license; log time daily using TimeStar via Citrix.
